Get back on track with PolimiRun Days 2020!
The iconic Politecnico’s running race changes its face. The spring edition of the Adidas Runners PolimiRun 2020, planned on May 17th, has been cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic. But now the competition has changed and renewed and university students can get back to race, in accordance with the virus spread prevention safety rules.
PolimiRun Days are born. A new format that allows university students to run and compete once again, in complete safety. It is not the classical competition anymore, where thousands of students run through the streets of Milan all together, starting from Bovisa Campus to Leonardo Campus. It is now a three weeks competition, in which students can prove themselves.
The running race starts on 21st September and lasts until 10th October. During this period of time runners are going to track their independent running performance on a special course designed for the event, challenging each other for the final prize. Not only the Milanese Campuses will be involved, but even the Campuses of Cremona, Lecco, Mantova and Piacenza.
Registrations are opened until 9th October. You will receive a race kit, distributed from September 21st, and you will have the possibility to win the participation in an exclusive in-person event, with exceptional guests and other surprises.
Every student already listed for the Adidas Runners PolimiRun Spring 2020 can consider its registration valid to participate to the PolimiRun Days.
The registration income will be used for the renovation of Giurati, the sport center of Politecnico di Milano, where lots of university student work out every day Thanks to this restructuring, Giurati sport center will hopefully become the main place where young people can practice sport in the “Milan of the future”. Two new facilities and other sports fields will be built. Here you can discover more about the “new Giurati“.
