The Dean of the Politecnico of Milan has recently addressed a letter to all the students and colleagues of the University to invite them to meet in September in the classrooms of the University.
This is not just a formal invitation. After the deepest crisis of the last eighty years, it is not obvious to make an appointment considering the emergency of this period and keeping the necessary security measures in a context where the risks cannot be said to be zero.
Therefore, this appeal by the Dean of the Politecnico of Milan is a way to say that the University is ready to restart. Ready to welcome the students in person in the classrooms and to reaffirm the importance and leadership of face-to-face teaching. Nevertheless, we think that distance learning has been a valuable means to overcome a complex situation and that we are ready to respond to any further and possible crisis at any time.
Let us meet again at university and in the university residences. In-Domus is ready to welcome students from all the universities immediately, having taken the necessary security measures from the beginning of the pandemic.
Read here the letter of the Dean of the Politecnico of Milan to this address and consider it a very good omen for us all and for the future of the right to study.
