We’ll analyze which are the best ones to study in based on the following factors:

So which are the top 5 Italian cities to study in?
5. PISA
In 5th place is Pisa, a city on a human scale famous for its Leaning Tower and its rich history.
Moreover, the University of Pisa is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Italy and Europe and is the leading university in Tuscany in terms of student numbers.
This is a city that pays a lot of attention to the needs of students, infact, for example there is a wide availability of rooms and flats for rent at quite affordable costs.
4. PERUGIA
Perugia takes 4th place.
This pretty town has one of the most important and historic Italian universities.
Perugia is chosen by many foreign students who consider it a very stimulating city, thanks also to the many cultural and leisure events that enliven it throughout the year.
The costs here are not particularly high: on average, the price for a room is between 175 and 200 euros per month.
3. VENICE
The city that the whole world envies us is also distinguished by its University, among the most important being the Ca’ Foscari University and the Academy of Fine Arts.
Certainly living and moving around in Venice is not easy, but thanks to its beauty, charm and rich cultural offering, students who have studied here speak of it as a unique and indescribable experience.
Venice certainly does not belong to the cheapest university cities in terms of transport costs and rents.
As an alternative, you can choose to live in the nearby and more affordable Mestre.
2. MILAN
Second place goes to Milan!
Milan really needs little introduction, renowned for its excellent Universities,
both state and private.
The ever-moving metropolis offers so much for an out-of-town student: clubs, shops of all kinds, concerts, exhibitions, events, libraries, parks, culture.

This city offers a perfect environment for the life of a student away from home, it is on a human scale, one can move around easily on foot or by bicycle, and it is alive all year round thanks to the many cultural events that take place there.
To live in Bologna as a student you may need around 800/1000 euro per month, considering that the cost of a room varies from 300 to 450 euro per month excluding expenses.
CONCLUSIONS
In Italy we are truly spoiled for choice. In this small list we have presented you, we are missing many other cities that are no less important for their excellent universities, such as: Rome, Florence but also Padua and Bolzano.
