All emotions are, essentially, impulses to act; in other words, action plans which have equipped us with evolution to manage life’s emergencies in real time. During a long critical period of prehistory human, they really represented the difference between life and death. (…) These biological inclinations to a certain type of action are then further shaped by personal experience and culture. ”

Four basic emotions live in each of us: joy, sadness, anger and fear. Each represents an important orientation to face the key moments in life.

The basic emotions manifest themselves in our body, in our sensations, in the flow of our thoughts and – finally – in our behavior.

They are precious resources and it’s important to know them!
